FAQs

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Contact our office by phone or email, and our customer service team will guide you through the process.

We will:

• Learn a little about what you’re looking for

• Verify your insurance benefits (if applicable)

• Review estimated out-of-pocket costs

• Match you with a therapist who fits your needs and preferences

Our goal is to make the process smooth, welcoming, and responsive so you can begin care as quickly as possible.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Counseling Center of Grayslake is in-network with many major insurance plans, including (but not limited to) Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Medicare, and TriWest.

Because coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan, our customer service team will verify your benefits and provide an estimate of your expected costs before your first appointment.

Our administrative team is known for being responsive, professional, and easy to work with. We are available to assist you by phone or email:

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Friday & Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Please contact our office, and we will be happy to help you understand your coverage and next steps.

Court and Legal Involvement Policy

Counseling Center of Grayslake provides clinical treatment services only. Our clinicians serve in a therapeutic role and do not conduct forensic evaluations, custody evaluations, or parenting assessments.

To maintain clinical neutrality and protect the therapeutic relationship, our therapists do not provide investigative consultation, custody recommendations, or ongoing case discussions with attorneys, Guardians ad Litem (GALs), or other legal professionals.

When legal matters arise, communication is limited to the formal release of clinical records with appropriate authorization and/or a court order. Therapists may participate in court proceedings only when legally required.

These boundaries are in place to:

  • Protect the integrity and effectiveness of treatment

  • Preserve the therapist’s neutral clinical role

  • Ensure therapy remains a safe and confidential space for clients and families

If your case involves court, custody, or GAL involvement, please notify our office so we can guide you through the appropriate process.
